Costs

We charge an hourly rate. Decide what you need, when you need it and we will charge you by the hour for that service.

Our role is to manage day to day transactions including income, outgoings, payroll, BAS, and prepare all documents for your accountant. We also can advise on matters such as: systems to facilitate efficient operations, or preparing management reports for you and your bank, among many other topics. With your permission, we can also negotiate payment plans or discuss related matters with the Tax Office”

Different services may have different fees depending on the qualifications and skill level required of the staff member. We will discuss how much work you want to do yourself and how much you want us to handle. This can be altered by you at any time, depending on your own circumstances. All work is logged and charged at the agreed fee. Invoicing can be scheduled to suit you.

Note that we are not an Accounting firm, and are not legally permitted to offer Auditing Services or Income Tax reporting to the Australian Tax Office.

We can recommend an accounting firm that we have a working relationship with if required.

About us

Creative Square Bookkeeping is a boutique enterprise offering high quality bookkeeping and related services to small businesses.

Many business owners start very small, and are quite capable of handling a small amount of money and limited numbers of transactions. But there comes a time when the business begins to grow……..

We know that they feel that they should continue “doing their own books” themselves, but it is not a task that many enjoy. There is also the issue that the business operator really does not have the training or skills to complete this work accurately or quickly.

This is where Creative Square Bookkeeping can help.

Our aim is to release business operators from “the books” and allow them to concentrate on their particular business, or just get some of their life back! We, and the books, become almost invisible in the business operator’s daily life. The knowledge that deadlines will be met, all money is accounted for, and any relevant information or warnings will be brought to management’s attention casts a calm over the business to replace the constant sense of alert and worry so often felt by managers and owners.

Our Team

Cass Ellison
Business Manager

Cass has an extensive CV including time with the Auditor General’s Department auditing various large Government Departments and Universities, as well as smaller organisations.

She has also worked for a diverse range of small businesses, including a car service business, a drone training company and a camera rental business among others.

She now manages all bookkeeping operations of Creative Square Bookkeeping.

Dai Cookes
Managing Partner

Dai’s father was a Chief Accountant for a Bank, and his son is now a senior corporate accountant. Dai was the family’s black sheep and has had multiple careers in Retail, Education, Music, Camera Rental, and now, finally, and perhaps inevitably, the world of finance.

Having owned and operated businesses for more than 40 years, his role is business manager for Creative Square Bookkeeping
